It's time to HAVE FUN and make a difference!
Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and Crohn's Disease are painful, medically incurable illnesses that attack the digestive system of children and adults. Without proper treatment, life altering surgeries are often needed - we need your help to find a cure!
On behalf of almost 1.5 million American children and adults who suffer from Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, we are asking for your support towards the advancement of medical research in search of a cure for these terrible diseases. An estimated 30% of all newly diagnosed IBD sufferers are children under 18.
In honor of our 10-year-old son Jacob, who was diagnosed with severe UC in April 2009, we have partnered with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) and Johns Hopkins Children's Center (JHCC) to host Jacob's 2nd Annual Free Throw Tournament and Silent Auction to "Shoot Out" these diseases. This event provides all involved a chance to have fun and work together to raise funds towards finding a cure!
